Chef Yutaka Yamato

born and raised in Tokyo, Japan, his passion for cooking started at a young age when he helped his mother cook and prepare meals for the family. In his opinion, his mother is one of the best cooks he has ever known. She was his biggest inspiration to strive as a chef. He started working in the restaurant in Japan when he was in high school and continued his culinary education in the USA. With his extensive experience at Nobu New York and Dallas, Royal Tokyo, the Mercury Grill, and Citizen, Yutaka opened his own restaurant Yutaka Sushi Bistro on May 2006.
